Todd Mason, Auctioneer
Todd has enjoyed working as an auctioneer for local companies selling furniture, tools, machinery and estate items but his true passion has been serving as auctioneer at benefit and charity auctions. After working for a few years for a nationwide benefit auction company and traveling to fun places to serve outstanding organizations, Todd realized he wanted to make his focus helping smaller groups of volunteers in the Northwest reach their potential.
Todd believes his passion for the causes is what allows him to connect the attendees to the cause and gain their support. Before his first hand experience with his child with Type 1, he thought most of it was about the kids. Now he realizes when we help the kids, we are many times helping the parents, family and friends even more. The support charitable organizations give is more far reaching than most people stop to realize. Todd knows for most organizations, that one event, on that one night, determines what they are able to accomplish over the next year with the revenue generated. It's with that understanding and passion that he is willing to give it his all.
Todd and his wife Tracy have three children and live in a rural area outside of Chehalis, WA. He is also a professional engineer. He jokes that whether you need an auctioneer, engineer, or someone to bend an ear, he's your guy. When not auctioneering, you are most likely to find Todd in the sky with his lifelong interest in aviation or out sailing on the beautiful waters of the Northwest.

Other Services
Event organizers understand that a positive guest experience not only translates into a connection to their cause but also will assure the guests continue to return in the following years and hopefully invite others. One item that is easily overlooked is audio and video. Often the organizers are told by the venue they have microphones and speakers built-in or available and more often than not the system is not up to the task. Typically venues cater to presentations, weddings, memorials where crowds tend to be quiet and attentive. At a fundraiser you want your guests to have a festive time and nothing takes festive away like tapping on glassware asking everyone to be quiet because the sound system is not able to project over the crowd.
In addition to being able to easily here about the items, the guest need to be able to see them. The more people are able to see and understand about the item, the more they will be willing to not only bid, but also to bid more. Think of it this way: If you're looking for a car, are you more likely to call the seller or dealer if the car only has a written description or if it has a very complete description and photos? Your guests at the auction are exactly the same. The staff at Mason Auctioneering can assist you with creating a slide program that will best represent the items provided.
